Finlandia Foundation San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
This project was made for Finlandia Foundation San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. It was my Final Project Exam for Noroff, Graphic Design studies. I was also nominated as a board member for the Chapter and responsible of the website and brand development. The organization got a new website with a feature of create and sign up to events, Newsletter template, Brand Manual, logo, business cards, letterhead and a video teaser of the events. It was a project that took over an half a year. It was an intense period of time and there was a lot of things to take into consideration and to solve — for example from domains to SLL certificates and new plugins and getting feedback from the board members to approved versions. When we moved away from USA, I got to leave my position and I’m no longer responsible of the development for example the website.

Burmesterhaus
As a client project for end of the second semester, I took a challenge to design the front end of the website for the Burmesterhaus and execute the solution for the back end as well. The client — Marke and Heikki Piuhola — owns a house, in the Alps of Germany, they are renting the rooms out. Burmesterhaus has five rooms different sides. The website needed to be both in English and in Finnish. The client wanted to have very comprehensive content. All the photos and texts are from the client but processed by me. They also wanted to have a booking opportunity for the rooms, contact form, send a link to friend form, facebook and Instagram feeds, activities what to see and explore close by Burmesterhaus and the events. After getting more information from my client through 10 questions I had for them, I had better idea what they wanted to have and what they expect me to deliver. While the client wanted to be able to update the site quite frequently, I decided to use WordPress and to create a child theme for it to give it the unique look for the site. I designed a logo, the […]

PRODUCT ADVERTISING In this assignment I needed to create a street poster using photography as the main focus and promote a product. The background photograph had to be taking from a pedestrian street in my city at night. The poster had to include the photo of a pedestrian street, slogan, logo and a product photographed in a studio. The product had to be something that could be sold in one of the shops on the pedestrian street. The size for the hole poster had to be A2 portrait. The purpose was to be creative with the camera, explore photography and experiment with lighting. With the right lightning, product/night photo combination and layout I worked to get the atmosphere to the poster.

Magazine Design
A foreign publisher contacted me and asked to create a concept and design for their new magazine. The magazine will be about world issues. It outlines the biggest problems of our time and offers possible solutions. It also outlines a way forward with in-depth research and analysis, tools for citizen participation and stories about real people working for a better world. Today’s world is not ideal – climate change, financial collapse, poverty and war leave many people feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. This magazine hopes to empower people with the vision and the tools to create a healthy planet with vibrant communities. My job was to come up with a brief visual strategy and concept, name and logo, a grid and layout for the entire magazine, front page / back page, table of contents / colophon, article pages (select 6 of 8 the articles), title, byline, introduction, subheadings, body text, captions, pagination, photography and illustration and create physically dummy paper. It also needed to include the brand manual. My dog food's name is "Dog Healthy Food". I wanted to create a a bit upscale but still down to earth feeling for the brand. Not using much colour and to keep it simple. The target group was hipsters or anyone who was looking a bit better food to their dogs. Who likes to take good care of their dogs. The infographic was focusing to the benefits of this food and it could be sold even in Cafe Shops when the owners would get their coffee. Brand manual
